Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay thai fighter, mixed martial artist and currently is a competitor within the UFC flyweight division. She is the older sister of the fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as an Muay Thai kickboxer. Her debut was in 2003 during the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won the tournament and defeated Suzane Milliner with a unanimous verdict. Antonina was able to follow it up, and took home a silver medal in 2007 a bronze medal in 2008 and a gold award in the year 2011 and the title of year-end 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia's professional journey began in 2003. She won in 2012 her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship, in 2016, she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016 the WMC World Championships. Antonina was a part of Isa TIDBLAD Keskikangas's fight in the final round of Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by unanimous vote. Antonina Shychenko's professional MMA debut took place in 2002, at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan where she was matched against Anara Bayanova. She took the fight via TKO after round 2. Her following two matches were staged at the WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko stopped fighting to pursue kickboxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui in Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko defeated Anissa with a unanimous verdict and defeated Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in 2017. She was a part of the Dana White Contender Series 2018 following the departure of the league. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina used superior striking in order to TKO Nievera by knees to her body in the clinch. Antonina accepted an UFC offer after her victory. Antonina Shychenko debuted for the UFC at the Heavy Hitters event of TUF finals, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko fell to Roxanne modafferi in a split decision after she won her first bout. Antonina recovered from this loss by defeating Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler via a rear-naked choke submission. This earned her the bonus of a fight-of-the night. Shevchenko was victorious in her initial three fights but then lost her next three fights to Katlyn Cahookagian Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina lost her last fight to Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
