Ashley Graham was born on November 22nd, 1989, in Lincoln Nebraska. She grew up with her twin sisters and was regularly bullied at school because of her large legs. Graham was diagnosed as having attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder shortly after she graduated from primary school. Despite having to overcome numerous obstacles, which included A.D.H.D. throughout her teens, Graham was able to triumph over these challenges. Graham who was just 12 years young, was spotted by a Nebraska talent agent at a Nebraska Mall. After graduating in 2005 Lincoln Southwest High School she made appearances in numerous magazines and billboards. It was a challenge to find work because of her unusual appearance at the beginning of her professional career. Graham received offers to appear as a catalog lady for several years, but was told she wouldn't get past basic tasks. Fortunately, she was able to show that session casters were wrong as her career progressed quickly. In 2007, she was interviewed by Sally Singer of "Vogue" magazine. It was one of her first big break-throughs. In 2009, Graham appeared on "Glamour's" "These Bodies Are Beautiful at Every Size". Graham made headlines once more in 2009, when she appeared in the scandalous Lane Bryant commercial that ultimately was banned in many countries. At the time that the ad was removed from YouTube the video had already seen more than 800,000 views. After the debate erupted her appearance as a guest on Jay Leno's "The Tonight Show". Graham was well-known and is one of most popular plus-size women in the world today. Grande began singing and acting at a very early age. She was cast in the year 2008 when she got a role as a part of her first Broadway production 13, and soon after was able to play small roles in television series. Her role in Victorious which was a Nickelodeon television show in 2010 was her first big breakthrough. The character she played was Cat Valentine, an adolescent in a school for performing arts. When the sitcom was cancelled at the end of 2013, she starred in the spin-off show Sam & Cat (2013-14).
