Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge is an American actress. She began her career with support roles in the teen comedy films Big Fat Liar (2002) and She's the Man (2006). On the FX series Dirt, she played Willa McPherson as a reporter. She also played the role of a support character on the show with a short run The Ex List. She played the role of a young Moira O'Hara in the debut season of FX's American Horror Story, and as Kaylee in the third season. She was Jessie Anderson's character on the AMC series The Walking Dead. Sophie was her role in NBC's This Is Us. She also voices of a variety of characters on the comedy show Family Guy. Since the year 2019, she has been appearing as Melinda "Mel" Monroe an actress on the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge lived in Darien, Connecticut, until 10 years old when she and her mother moved to California. There, they lived for a year before eventually settling in Mill Valley. Breckenridge was attracted to acting, photography and singing when she was 13. When she was 15, she and her mother moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career.
